Samsung’s latest “Touch of Colour” LCD TVs will appeal to the “Spouse Acceptance Factor” via internal flash memory that comes pre-loaded with content, including high-resolution artwork, recipes, exercise routines, children’s programming, and games.
Samsung’s “Touch of Colour” design, known also simply as “TOC”, features a hint of red accent colours blended into the semi-transparent piano black bezel. The new Series 7 line, which will be available exclusively through Future Shop, boasts 1080p resolution, 50,000:1 contrast, 120 Hz Auto Motion Plus refresh rate, and Ultra Clear Panel technologies, along with USB 2.0 with WiseLink Pro for instant access to viewing digital files on the big screen. The TVs recognize MPEG-4 and DivX video files, as well as MP3 music and JPEG photos.
"The Series 7 LCD HDTVs reflect Samsung's emphasis on continually innovating the performance, functionality and design of our LCD lines," said Michelle Sordi, Marketing Manager, Consumer Electronics at Samsung Electronics Canada. "By partnering exclusively with Future Shop to bring the Series 7 'Touch of Colour' to the television market, Samsung continues to blur the boundary between TV and art."
Future Shop is always looking to provide our customers across Canada with the latest in home theatre, from products to knowledgeable product experts to installation," added Eric Stockner, Director of Home Theatre Merchandising, Future Shop. "The Samsung Series 7, exclusive to Future Shop, has taken HDTV to the next level and truly turns this HDTV into the centre of the home entertainment system."
The Energy Star-rated LCD TVs are also DLNA-compliant, which means they can easily share content with other DLNA-certified products. They have dedicated sports, cinema, and gaming modes, and four HDMI-CEC inputs, in addition to a number of other connections. Each model ships with a touch-sensitive, Wheel-Key remote that automatically illuminates as soon as it is being handled.
Samsung’s Series 7 750 LCDs are currently available in 40” ($2,599.99), 46” ($3,199.99), and 52” ($3,499.99) sizes.
